It is tailored for literate adults who are unable to use their voice, hands, or both, including individuals with conditions like MND, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, and locked-in syndrome. When paired with TD Pilot, an iPad-based speech-generating device equipped with eye-tracking technology by Tobii Dynavox, it offers the following functionalities:

• Talk using advanced eye tracking technology
• Communicate by typing the desired words with your fingers
• Engage in conversations effortlessly with rapid, personalized predictive sentence formulation
• Edit typos within sentences using only your eyes
• Express yourself in over 35 languages and voices
• Facilitate face-to-face discussions via the Partner Window feature on a TD Pilot device

TD Talk encourages individuals to express their thoughts and identity naturally and fluidly:

Converse naturally:

• Participate seamlessly in dialogues by showcasing your typed text to your conversational partner through the rear-facing Partner Window on a TD Pilot device
• Select your preferred language and transition effortlessly

Express yourself quickly:

• Remain actively engaged in any conversation via predictive text and direct error editing within a sentence
• Maintain a natural speaking pace with QuickMessages, containing common and custom phrases such as 'I need help' and 'wait please, I'm typing'

Sound like yourself:

• Enhance fluid expression through phrase prediction that adjusts to your unique communication style
• Choose from various pre-recorded synthetic voices to match your identity
• Import a personalized synthetic voice mimicking your natural voice through voice banking from vendors like Acapela (my-own-voice), Model Talker, and The Voice Keeper

Utilizing TD Talk without TD Pilot:

Some users may opt to use TD Talk on an iPad without TD Pilot, including individuals transitioning from touch to eye gaze access due to degenerative conditions, clinicians exploring TD Talk on behalf of clients, and institutions like hospitals. Note that using TD Talk on an iPad without the TD Pilot device limits you to touch access only (without eye tracking) and provides a smaller range of languages and voices.
